There are over 1,400 square miles of commercial roof space in the country, most of it in densely populated areas.  Efficient rooftop greenhouse systems allow year-round food production. The greenhouse increases the energy efficiency of the host building and its own production environment.

Rooftop insulation prevents heating and cooling loss.

Waste heat emitted from the building is recaptured and used.

Rain water is collected and filtered for farm operations.

The greenhouse also enhances building aesthetics and improves the environment for its occupants.  Rather than being simply an exposed surface, roof space can be used to grow a living garden throughout the year.
